Perspective and Orthographic Views

NUCLEUS can display the 3D view in two projection modes: perspective view and orthographic view.

The perspective view fits our daily experience: the things that are far from us look smaller, and the things are close to us look bigger. On the other hand, the orthographic view displays the things according to their size. In general, the perspective view is used for human being's navigation, while the orthographic view is used for planning.

You can switch between them by clicking the  button at the Bottom Bar, as marked with the yellow square in the bellow illustration.

For navigating in perspective and orthographic views:

If you are conducting an orbit navigation in an orthographical view and switching to the first person navigation, the system will then automatically change to the perspective view mode.
